AaaaaaahhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Do you understand how many hours. DAYS ON HOURS. Ive spent trying to get a box or a properΒ tubeΒ in this thing? How many modles ive taken appart and reshaped like using tweezersΒ on clay and imported to copy the shape to make it longer/bigger!? And those flipping spheres!! Its imposable to make a sphere and your telling me all I had to do was CLICK FOUR TIMES!!!! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFACE! YOU SON-OF-A-MONKEY! THANK YOU!!
AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

You're the best person that has ever existedΒ
Sorry to bother you with this question but.. I want to add lines to my model but it turned black like that :/ What am I doing wrong? TAT

Aww! Thank you so much!
Is that particular material completely transparent? A way to get around that is to not set the transparency to "0", but with a very small number like ".001". (I don't know why, but it turns black when it's set to 0 and not with any higher numbers.)

StekinoMai In reply to Tehrainbowllama [2014-08-11 15:08:31 +0000 UTC]
Oh ,oh wait sorry!
I should have been more specific! I'm so silly
My model is not transparent at all , like opaque I must say xD and it's PMX format. But whenever I try to add the edge lines , it turns my model completely black ,and every time I have to export the models through Metasequoia , open it up in PMDe , I always have to check the "double sided" box thing or not the model will look inverted or some weird thing like that OwO; lol

Tehrainbowllama In reply to StekinoMai [2014-08-11 16:45:25 +0000 UTC]
It's alright!
I think that the issue is that since the vertices are double-sided, the model turns black. I tested it out for myself and sure enough, the "double-sided" model turned black when I added edge lines. I'm not sure if there is a way around it, though.

Ah , I knew it ;_;
dammn , I wish my models doesn't have to be double-sided to look normal *cries in the corner*
But thanks for you help! I really appreciate it <3

Do you know how to fix the one like the 1st problem of the double sided faces. I made something without touching that button and it turned up like the 1st picture

Tehrainbowllama In reply to MMDAnimatio357 [2014-06-05 17:31:53 +0000 UTC]
To be honest, I don't know of any method in PMDe that can fix this problem.
Although, in Metasequoia, you can select the top layer of faces of the object and then go to "selected" and then "move faces to new object".

PrincessMikiMiki In reply to Tehrainbowllama [2014-11-04 16:31:03 +0000 UTC]
Is there a specific option for selecting only the top layer of faces or do you have to manually do that?Β
π: 0 β©: 1
Tehrainbowllama In reply to PrincessMikiMiki [2014-11-04 22:43:41 +0000 UTC]
Usually, I manually select them. Sadly, I don't really know of a specific method.

I figured out how to solve it! You go to object > unify face then you select the whole obj (I just use ctrl+a lol) go to selected > invert and it fixes it! You'll have to rerig obviously but it's a solution ^^"Β

The only downfall is that it only works with the original mqo file not things converted to mqo from pmd or obj files. I'm already working on a mini tutorial on it.

I Said that b/c of this thing you're doing. I hope you know how to fix textures...
Oh P.S: Aries is the white haired girl, normal.
Aqua with the same hair and eye texture... Indifferent!

Hey... i just got a BUTTLOAD of windows 100% models like sora type LON and Mai Yukishiro, but i have a problem...
with two models... Aqua and Aries.
You see, they both have the same eye and hair textures, and i can't fix them!!!
EDIT: Clarice is having the same problem,Β but minor. her front hair is Aries' white hair. PLZ HELP ME!

Any idea on how to fix this:Β sta.sh/02dksgeht8ls I don't get it. I've tried fixing his bones, I've tried adding what I thought he needed... But he doesn't pose well, his leg bones are in the wrong lengths, and that's what happens with motion data
π: 0 β©: 1
Tehrainbowllama In reply to English-Sorcerer [2013-12-16 21:21:18 +0000 UTC]
The mesh/polygons aren't rigged to the bones that are part of the model.Β Since they aren't rigged, they don't move.
www.deviantart.com/art/How-to-β¦ This tutorial should help.

English-Sorcerer In reply to Tehrainbowllama [2013-12-16 21:57:14 +0000 UTC]
The thing is... They do move. He bounces around like he's in a bouncy castle, though his feet and legs move the way they should... It's like when you don't have a mother bone and you move the model right and left and the legs just won't move.
But he has a mother bone.

English-Sorcerer In reply to Tehrainbowllama [2013-12-16 23:15:58 +0000 UTC]
Nope. It's a bone problem but I dunno how to fix it. Furthermore... Don't EVER use the shrink plug-in. It will royally mess up a model.

Tehrainbowllama In reply to English-Sorcerer [2013-12-16 23:49:54 +0000 UTC]
I can, but i'm not entirely sure what could be wrong though.
My hypothesis is either the rigging, or the attachment ("parent bone"-"child bone" issues) of the bones could be affecting the model.
π: 0 β©: 1
English-Sorcerer In reply to Tehrainbowllama [2013-12-16 23:54:20 +0000 UTC]
Gotta be attachment. And when I rebooted the model to rebuild it... The model goes missing except for a few a bones where it would stand.
π: 0 β©: 1
Tehrainbowllama In reply to English-Sorcerer [2013-12-17 00:06:09 +0000 UTC]
Yikes! Have you checked the "parent-bone" and the "child bone" numbers of the bones?Β
I'm not sure why the model completely disappeared, but i think that if there are any bonesΒ that have "-1" put in as "parent bone" in the bone settings, that bone won't move.Β
I think that might be the part of the problem.
π: 0 β©: 1
English-Sorcerer In reply to Tehrainbowllama [2013-12-17 00:28:50 +0000 UTC]
Yes. As I said. It moves. It's just model likes to pretend there's no gravity and the stay on the ground when going right or left is messed up.
π: 0 β©: 1
Tehrainbowllama In reply to English-Sorcerer [2013-12-17 00:37:55 +0000 UTC]
If it floats like that, perhaps it's a joint/physic problem.Β
If you think is a physic problem, you can view the physics by going to "physical operation" and then "display physics". That way, you can see if any physics seem be out of place or acting oddly.
If it is a joint problem, the joints might either be misplaced, or there might be an attachment problem with the joints. (Joints are like the "glue" between physics; they keep them in place.)
A previous tutorial of mine might help: www.deviantart.com/art/Tehrain⦠.

I used PMD editor a long time ago, but when I came back I forgot everything I knew... Is there a way to not see/select the vertices on the other side of a model? I thought there might be, but I can't remember now. Being able to "see" those vertices is making editing very confusing.

How can I select more than one bone on a model?

you click the "bone" button (third button) and "box select" the desired bones~
