I'm not sure but, Golden Freeza's form has... An odd resemblance with Cooler's Final Form, well. If he really is in his Final Form at least, I think it's his shoulders that give me that impression not sure.

i see you made the neck the same color as his arms. could've went with having the middle of it be the same color as his chest or maybe purple like his face.
also, small tip, have his hands, feet, and his face be purple just like they're in the golden iteration of the form, it can make the final form more distinct to be honest

Countless minor color tweaks to Golden Freeza were done before submitting. This is what I settled on being able to tolerate.
I'm not trying to make the initial color version of his Ultimate Evolution distinct; that's the exact opposite of why I added it in the first place.

The point is that Freeza says he made the form gold so that it would be "easier to understand", so the original color version isn't supposed to stand out at all.

Very nice representation of Frieza's new form. He's actually a little bit taller, and has more "natural armor" in his Ultimate Evolution form. Really cool. Also, thanks for explaining why and how his new form has the golden color scheme. The new Battle Jacket design looks sick by the way.

The "missing" forms are still included on the appropriate sheet from before his death (DBR Freeza ), but the the Notes section on this one addressed the lack of forms for the Resurrection F era fairly clearly:
"Second, in my iteration, Freeza no longer has his middle transformations. He was healed in his true form and then recreated his suppressed form, choosing to only use one this time."

I rather like the armor change you made, it makes sense, Frieza doesn't seem one for sentiments. And honestly, that would be maybe the only reason I could seem him wearing it(the old armor), other than clothing, considering he's at a level where armor really doesn't matter. Plus, I think the new armor just looks good on him, and helps show that this isn't the old Frieza you're looking at.

Yeah, I like that notion, but it's not entirely accurate either. Freeza's just as much of an idiot as he was the first time around. She, he's more powerful, but he comes back for revenge instead of just being grateful to be alive, has the same weakness as on Namek, etc. After all the training he did, I kinda wish he'd pulled a Coola (even though he doesn't exist to Toriyama) and learned to just be comfortable with his true form after all that training. No need for the first form at all. But, merchandise, nostalgia, etc... :/

I thought the transformations were because when he was in his true form his power got out of hand and he destroyed too much too easily, bad for business, and Cooler likely didn't have that problem being not as strong. I mean yeah, part of those training months could have been spent learning to get that under control, but I would think he was more focused on just increasing power, not controlling it, so he'd still probably use the backwards transformation so he didn't just take out his own army and business for no reason, at least no reason that doesn't fit into his character considering how kill happy he can get around failure or disobedience. And he just uses the one backwards transformation because he would fully expect to need to use his full power against Goku, but until then he'd want some measure of control.

My problem is that, at least on some level, they should be two sides of the same coin. He limits his power because he lacks control and never put the effort in to gain it, but control should start to come naturally the more experience he gains while training. Ideally he shouldn't need the lower forms to control himself or to bulk up to use his true form's full power once he starts to actually put forth effort in to train. I mean, he didn't go into the session knowing he'd find a new transformation, so powering up and gaining control of what he had should have been his initial goal. :/

True, but at the same time he didn't know his own strength going into the training, and gained so much power so quickly, he never fully comprehended how powerful he now was, or at least that's how I see it. And being naturally gifted and not a trained warrior, he probably wouldn't understand the importance of learning control going in, and therefore not work on it, instead just the power. Kinda goes with how he came straight to Earth once he got his Golden form without learning to use it properly, the whole rapid drain on power part.

I dunno, he always seems to have a pretty good grasp of his power (he just overestimates himself and underestimates his opponents). He knew his power on Namek, he knew he'd powered up as a cyborg, he knew he was still in a weakened state upon being revived, etc. But he tried to play it smarter in F; he came in with not only having trained, but having unlocked a new form and two contingency plans (which would have lead to victory if not for Whis). His true form's power had reached levels surpassing the records they had on Goku (vs Buu), and the golden transformation just made it even more absurd. If not for Goku's little stint as a god, Freeza would have been maximum overkill. So perhaps while he trained to not need to bulk up anymore, his excitement at reaching such an unfathomable realm while golden just got the better of him.

Rumble rumble rumble….the ground trembles and starts cracking open. The next moment there’s an explosive “bang!!” and a violent flash! Everyone shields their eyes. When they timidly look again, there’s Freeza, glowing gold.
Freeza: “Hoho…I made it gold so it’d be easy to understand, but perhaps it’s a little too simple. It’s sort of a tacky name, but how does ‘Golden Freeza’ sound? I’m sure you can tell my color isn’t the only thing that’s changed.”

I actually did noticed in a brief moment that Frieza in his Golden form is slightly bulky and tall than his fourth form (aside the 100% full power), and he did look close to Vegeta's height in the clip (though with knees bent).

Yeah, he's distinctly bigger in terms of height and muscle mass, but it's hard to tell by exactly how much with all the inconsistencies in animation. So, I just went with what I was comfortable with after comparing Toriyama's Golden Freeza design with the latest attempt to draw Freeza's normal fourth form.

My only thoughts, of any context, for the movie's dates are that I'm a little disappointed that it's releasing after Super starts airing. Nothing I can do about that though.

I guess it was unexpected, but then again, Dragon Ball Super is only aired on Fuji TV in Japan and Fukkatsu no 「F」was released before that tv series, and Resurrection "F" was only released until August. Don't you think so?

No, I get that. Super is only announced for Japan right now and they already have F. But I'll be watching Super every week as it airs, and I'd have liked to have seen F before then. I never expected them to actually release it before Super airs, because while I would prefer a subtitled theater release (which they could do now, like the dozen or so other countries that have F too) Funimation will almost certainly only do dub showings, and those take time. Most of actors don't live in texas and all that, blah blah.
