This is great. You said something about not being able to put vanishing points outside the canvas? I've found a way to do this, but, it is a bit time consuming. I just use my polygonal selection tool, pick my vanishing point and kind of zig zag over my canvas until I have my grid, close selection, then stroke that line. Presto, perspective grid.
This walkthrough is amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Okay, how do you make that perspective grid? Not as in how do you make one, but how do you achieve that specific grid. It seems like you ran an algorythm or something to generate it.

this was SO HELPFUL thank you SO MUCH! i realize these tutorials aren't your favourite thing but i was wondering if you might consider submitting an innersection for one of your pieces with a complicated character coloring. I love the disney-inspired pieces you've been putting up lately but i crave to know more about your shading process!

PS7? Perspective Grid? You build it by hand? Or did you at least touch Illustrator for the grid?
I originally thought "hey, he actually put the CS3 PS's 3D grid to good use", then I saw the "PS7".
Shiz.

hey man! i think its amazing that you share your techinque, since most of the people are kinda selfish... and specially since there are a lot of copycats around.... but your style is pretty cool and its hard to imitate... for what is worth, i learned a few things so thanks!

You're crazy doing this with a mouse. I can't even do this with my tablet.
