Although I have a difficult time deciding exactly what is my most favorite horror film this one is easily my top five, hell, maybe even my most favorite. "John Carpenter's The Thing", I can watch it a million times and it still never gets old, best monster gross-out movie ever. So I felt like doing my own version of the Thing. I really had no plans on how it would look, I just started sketching and came up with this. It was a blast letting my twisted mind go wild. Anyways, if you haven't already seen the film go and see it. Very fun, scary, gross, and intense film.Related content

I only saw the movie once, when I was like, 5 or 7. (Don't ask why. I have no idea) And I still remember the whole thing. I mean, the WHOLE thing. Even the story line and what they were saying. What makes it worse, is that it was almost midnight! When it finally ended, I went to bed, and my dad said I whimpered like a dog in my sleep. I hated the movie, but now I love it, even though I've only seen it once.

It's okay now. Now I LOVE the thing. I actually went to youtube earlier, and kept replaying the bloody parts over and over.
Though I've got to say, my fav monster movie would be the 'Alien' series. I'm actually doing a fan-fic about it right now. If you're interested, I could tell you when I'm done. Might be awhile till I'm done though.

And there's going to be a Thing sequel released next April, I can't wait to see it. I hope they stick to practical effects rather than CGI. The original films effects were amazing. Oh cool! I love the Alien films too.

love it, its so awesomely disgustingly epic XD and yus, it is indeed a very epic horror movie.

Still one of my favorite movies of all time. Some people focus on just the gore too, but the movie was so much more than that. The whole uneasy feeling feeling of the crew was they began to suspect each other was a very interesting thing to watch, and many newer "monster" movies just focus on the gore without anything deeper than that. That alone sets the Thing above a lot of other movies of the same type that I have seen.

XD
