*** This is technically a re-posting of this illustration. I plan to do so with all of my Potter art work building up (hopefully) to having some new stuff to share there after. So if you feel like you've seen this before - you probably have. On the upside, I'm sharing it at a larger resolution and without the DeviantArt watermark on it now **

This was one of those mixed bag chapters for me. I enjoyed doing some of the drawings very much, but some felt like a chore to do. It was fun to draw Mrs. Pince - I knew she wouldn't get much attention throughout the series so I wanted to show my interpretation of her now while I had the chance... and it's not like she's not used at all. So if the moment arrives I need to illustrate her again, she's been "officially" designed.

My favorite drawing was the one of Dumbledore. It was a last minute drawing I did... and I did it at a time before I knew what Dumbledore was really seeing. BUT - I just knew that what he tells Harry wasn't true and the look on his face works so well to be both ambiguous but telling of something painful in his life and the longing he feels. And then Harry looking at him just felt like a nice touch... I was very happy with that drawing.
