*** This is technically a re-posting of this illustration. I plan to do so with all of my Potter art work building up (hopefully) to having some new stuff to share there after. So if you feel like you've seen this before - you probably have. On the upside, I'm sharing it at a larger resolution and without the DeviantArt watermark on it now **

When I look back on the Harry Potter series as a whole, I find this chapter is one of those little side adventures that gets forgotten. Heck, in the movies it was cut and/or broken into parts of other scenes, even though the first movie was the most faithful adaptation. But as silly as it is, it's a lot of fun. I'm not going to say I loved doing every illustration, but I had a good time with them. Hermione at the very end is one of my favorite drawings I did of her in book 1 and I was really pleased with the group of kids running from Filch and Mrs. Norris.

Fun Fact: The shot of the kids seeing Fluffy, located at the lower left of the collection, is based on a drawing J.K.Rowling did of the group from that moment. Originally Dean Thomas was apparently going to be there, but I had to cut him. I probably wouldn't have given them candle sticks, if that wasn't what she'd given them... but still, it's always nice to pay tribute to J.K.R. whenever possible
