*** This is technically a re-posting of this illustration. I plan to do so with all of my Potter art work building up (hopefully) to having some new stuff to share there after. So if you feel like you've seen this before - you probably have. On the upside, I'm sharing it at a larger resolution and without the DeviantArt watermark on it now ***

I had fun with this chapter's vignette drawings. I think my least favorite is Ron in the car window "frame" - he came off looking a little too young. Not terribly so... I mean he is still pretty young, but my goal is to have the kids slowly growing older with each book, and this felt like he hadn't really progressed. I like the drawing otherwise.

I was thrilled with the picture of Harry looking on in horror as Dobby smacks himself with the lamp. Everything about that picture is what I wanted out of it and I'm just thrilled to pieces over the drawing.

And for those who read the description in one of my previous illustrations, I loosely base Dobby on a dog I had that acted much like my favorite house elf. The main physical characteristic I gave Dobby from my old pup, is that one of his ears tends to flop down. They can extend fully, when he's alert or something - like the only other Drawing of Dobby I'd done so far was - but otherwise, the one ear tended to droop. Anyway, this drawing got to show that.

Fun Fact: I try - I try very hard to be both true to the books, but also consistent with my drawings. Fun fact - the drawing of Harry in his room with the bars over the window ruins a drawing I did for book 1 - from the inside, with Harry on his bed with the window open as Hedwig flies around outside. It's not a huge deal, but in that first drawing it was a different kind of window - it was a different shape and opened a differently. It's not that big a deal, but I want to say it now before anyone else tries to bust me on it later or something
