*** This is technically a re-posting of this illustration. I plan to do so with all of my Potter art work building up (hopefully) to having some new stuff to share there after. So if you feel like you've seen this before - you probably have. On the upside, I'm sharing it at a larger resolution and without the DeviantArt watermark on it now ***

I start right off with the fun fact that when I did the drawings for this chapter, I didn't originally do the one of Ginny and her smoking ears, it was drawn after I finished illustrating the final chapter, not at the same time as the other drawings for this one. I was happy with the way the drawings turned out in general. I normally enjoy the painting more, but I never cared all that much for this chapter for some reason (which is probably the reason I didn't do the Ginny drawing at first - I just wanted to get finished with the chapter) so I found myself having more fun with the drawings. I also enjoy tying elements together - making sure "The Chamber has been opened" line looks the way it does on the cover illustration I did - it's minor and kind of silly, but I think it's those little touches that make things special.
