*** This is technically a re-posting of this illustration. I plan to do so with all of my Potter art work building up (hopefully) to having some new stuff to share there after. So if you feel like you've seen this before - you probably have. On the upside, I'm sharing it at a larger resolution and without the DeviantArt watermark on it now ***

Outside of the very first vignette, I'm happy with the way these turned out. And the first vignette, I'm fine with, but in retrospect, Ginny's face is a bit... "off". The picture of Harry disarming Lockhart is intended to be in 2 pieces - one on each page of the open book - if that makes sense. I'm particularly proud of the dynamics of Ron's wand just beginning to blowup in Lockhart's hand. The entrance to the Chamber of Secrets, I had designed back before doing any of the chapter illustrations, because I had done a whole different cover illustration, utilizing it there. But I decided to re-do the cover, and when I did, a lot stayed the same, but one of the 2 biggest changes was taking out the chamber - so I was happy I got to use it here. It's unfortunate I couldn't animate it, to show how I pictured it opening... in my mind, the snakes begin intwined, then they slither apart leaving an opening.
