*** This is technically a re-posting of this illustration. I plan to do so with all of my Potter art work building up (hopefully) to having some new stuff to share there after. So if you feel like you've seen this before - you probably have. On the upside, I'm sharing it at a larger resolution and without the DeviantArt watermark on it now **

I got strangely board with doing the illustrations from this chapter... and maybe it was left over feelings from doing the chapter before, but I was looking forward to drawing and painting the dragon. AND it was a Hargid-sentric chapter for goodness sakes. So I should have been doing drawing after drawing. But when it came time to choose what exactly to draw... there wasn't a lot of great scenes or moments I wanted to illustrate. Norbert is surprisingly more a discussing point than focal one demanding illustrations of him... or her as we later learn. And then I try not to let my obsession with Hagrid control what I draw too often, and when all was said and done, I only did one of him. That said...

I was really happy with the one drawing of him I did. His proportions came out a little on the "chibby" side, but I was really happy with his body gesture and facial expression. When I'm doing new Hagrid drawings, I'll often go back to this one for reference.

I was also very happy with Ron of al people. I struggle with drawing him for some reason. So when a drawing/painting of him goes well, I'm a little extra happy with it.
