What the Warrior Class Destroyer was to the first modernization efforts of the Earth Colonial Federation's Space Force was a second evolutionary step of warship designs. Largely designed using a wider understanding of Element 164 in a plasma state the University of Warsaw was leading the study efforts of the alien element. As such the ECF gave the Polish people the right to name the ship. The choice was Konstanty Plisowski a man who fought both Nazis and Communists. The Warrior class used limited E164 to generate power first and secondly provide some gravity as the ship made deck perpendicular to the ships thrust. The original Warrior could burn at 9G forces for several hours with the fusion reactors pumping ions out rapidly using anti-helium. The Warrior class could thus remain active for several years before a refueling. However it was designed with limited understanding of much technology the ECF gained from the Yaren memory cores. Given the needed time between 2102 and 2121 Warsaw University made many advancements to the Ryan Aerospace Enterprise design.
The drives of the Plisowski class are made with more understanding of power transfer via E164 plasma thus the ship is much more efficient taking the same anti-helium fuel as all other warship in the ECF fleet the Plisowski is able to use less fuel to power its systems effectively increasing time before refueling to a solid decade. Other improvements are the engines themselves a concept abandoned on the Warrior was multi-directional Ion thrust vectoring. In all with more efficient power transfer to magnetic fields the ship can fly backwards at 4Gs of thrust instead of 1.5Gs with nearly no moving parts. The Plisowski also has improved cooling systems as such the charged particle cannons no long need a delayed fire between barrels so single barrels are able to fire at the same time. The Tesla cannon also has seen a major upgrade to its rate of fire. Troop capacity is one Expeditionary Unit of Naval Infantry and 100 Strike Force Marines. Armor protection is improved without a dramatic increase in mass as the vessel makes use of angled armor. The ship has its radar, lidar, and visual sensors integrated into the skin of the ship.
The crew are accommodated in more comfortable quarters than the previous Warrior Class. Refinements in the logistics and efficiency. Hot bunking is reduced but still used. The machining and fabrication facilities for drones work much like the last ships but moving those drones to launch facilities is much faster. The ships food supply is augmented by a Sidonian made hydroponics garden. There are no windows on the ship expect in the flush two story observation deck. One deck for the officers and a second for enlisted crew. The single window is ArmorPlast Type 40. This material is a type of fermi liquid mixed within sheets of low cost transparent steel. While aluminum oxynitride is just as strong, mass production of ALON and rapid repair is too costly. AP40 grants the destroyer class the ability to print its own three squared meters worth of material within hours. The armor is the same 4meter design of tungsten carbide layered over a honeycomb structure with self sealing fluid in the honeycomb structure.
Protection is further increased by magnetized plasma shielding able to counter act both energy and projectile attacks. The ship carries a small swarm of drone fighters plus 20 ASF-58 fighters to command them. The ship retains perpendicular flooring with one observation deck for the crew to look out into the void when safely traveling in real space. Rapid rearm and repair of the ship remains the same but thanks to streamlining the design the hanger space has been increased to accommodate more planetary landing operations. The Plisowski truly shines thanks in part due to human's expanding knowledge of E164 and improving the design of a tried and true warship. The first Plisowski class the ECS Plisowski launched in 2129 with more ships ordered to complete the 1000 vessel requirements.
The vessel has a wide range of phased array RADARs that require zero moving parts and in combination with LIDAR systems line the skin of the ship. There are main line central panels for the LIDAR and Radar arrays. Each array is set in separate sections of the hull at various angles to further reduce moving parts. The crew within the command bunker can receive a wide range of data even being able to detect 6th Generation fighters at a distance of 385,000 km its maximum combat range. Human ships can engage at a range of 1 light year with the assistance of recon drones or satellites. The Tesla cannon can fire nearly more than a light year but effectiveness diminishes greatly past 500,000km. Long range missiles or mini starships are in development. The downside to the torpedo concept is protection from large caliber rapid fire CIWS that keeps the 'torpedo' concept on the drawing board.
