Description
BTW, all credit to "A Book of Monsters" blog for providing the design, of this MARVELOUSLY weird critter! abookofcreatures.com/2017/03/0…This is basically the Tipsiest Unicorn ever, so it's PERFECT for the Bestiary. My friend, this is a real unicorn!
Dunno if this bestiary thing is gonna catch on, but y'know, giving it a shot.
---------------------------------
EXTRAS:
- Like other naturally occurring Unicorn species, they are more related to rhinos than horses. Especially evident in that they have three toes instead of a single hoof.
- Lowering Horn Unicorns spend almost all of their time on water, using their long legs to stand and wade across lake floors while grazing on aquatic plants.
- Whenever Lowering Horn Unicorns walk or run on land, they always do so with a sprawling walk, seemingly swinging their legs outward and forward. This ends up looking quite ridiculous in action.
- Their horns are not only used to dig up pond weeds and moss for eating, but also containing magic that allows them to breathe underwater. On the off-chance that their horns get cut off, they simply stay in shallow waters, while others help them eat.
- Scottish Children often hear of them as being dangerous lake monsters that eat people. Partly to teach children not to swim in lakes. Partly as a practical joke that makes this creature seem more threatening than it really is.
- They have an excellent sense of smell, but TERRIBLE eyesight.

I'm having trouble seeing how it could look funny while walking.

WELL...ever see a cat try to walk with shoes on? XD
That's basically how they walk on land. And they already look weird enough as it is!
