Description
The adventure starts with Rebecca and Gillian doing something they enjoy doing, walking on a trail, chatting animatedly or, at times, simply listening to the sounds coming from the forest, the wind blowing in the trees, the birds singing or the occasional cracking made by a dead branch falling. They enjoy the calmness of this trail. It's not unusual that they meet other people, but these people mostly come for the same reason they do, and, if they make some noise and talk as the two friends do, it's rarely loud enough to trouble the quietness of the place. And if words are exchanged, they are nice words, mostly greeting words.
Note:
Although Gillian is one of my characters, the idea for this picture (and the starting point of this adventure) is this picture made by jerek-uk .

What a lovely beginning to this adventure! I'm very flattered that you've used my idea for Gillian's prosthetics! The odd-length stubbies look great and I think would be quite practical for someone with Gillian's amputations - in fact I had the idea originally from an old photo of someone with almost exactly the same lower limb amputations as Gillian (although she has her arms!). And it must be lovely for Gillian (always so active despite her disabilities, as we've seen in earlier pictures of her) to be able to get about more easily on her own!
Rebecca and Gillian look so happy in this picture. It's lovely!

In fact the idea for all this adventure comes from the beautiful picture you made and something you said in a note about Deborah.
Β I really liked the prosthetics you made for her and it is indeed a very plausible way for someone like her to move on her own. I must admit I had never really thought about it before, considering she could only move by herself like in this picture , for short distances, and would otherwise be carried or use a wheelchair (it could be a motorized wheelchair she would drive with her stump). So I liked your idea of giving her the ability to walk by herself on rather long distances.
I remember having seen this picture. It would be interesting to have a little video to see how she moves.
I indeed wanted to make them happy, chatting animatedly, having fun. And I'm ... happy the way it turned out !

Thanks ! It took me a while to made it, the socket mostly. I made it initially for Misaki but I adapted it to Gillian ... and to someone else (you'll soon see who I'm talking about).

Gillian is always fascinating. Each time I see a new artwork of her, I feel like a part of my soul shines with happiness. Her unique beauty and her way of doing things with her abbreviated body is always something admirable.

Wow ! You seem to be in love with her.
I perfectly understand the feeling. I've become myself very fond of her, more than I thought I would when I posted her first adventure at the lake.
Admirable, yes, this is the right word.
Thank you very much for this very touching comment.

I understand you very well. She's such a charming, beautiful and lovely character in all ways. A limbless queen

Very beautiful !
Unfortunately, I have neverΒ had such an encounter while walking on a country trail, but I'd love to.
I've downloaded this picture, and I'll take the liberty of cutting a part of the landscape, so as to focuse on the two characters and have a smaller file saved.
Happy New Year with several other submissions like this !

Thank you very much !
I sometimes go myself walking or cycling on trails like this one and ... alas I never encounter someone looking even remotely like Gillian either. I'd love to too.
No problem cutting the landscape. Rebecca and Gillian are indeed the most important part of the picture.
Happy New Year to you too. You'll see soon other submissions like this one, or even better.
