Somehow it was written that this walk in the wood would be the one of the most improbable encounters, for against all odds, and much to their surprise another quadruple amputee woman showed up, greeting them warmly, waving an arm stump.They returned the greeting, but Gillian wasn't that cheerful.
What she had said earlier about this being impossible was essentially correct, for she meant that the probability was so close to zero it was an acceptable approximation. Yet, she was pretty much annoyed to be proven wrong. She looked at Rebecca, vexed.
- If you say “you were saying ?”, I swear I kick you.
- I would be lying if I said it didn't came to my mind, but I wouldn't have said it, responding Rebecca, trying not to laugh.
- You better not ! Answered Gillian, smiling again a little.
Rebecca smiled in return.
Much to Gillian's relief, they didn't met any more amputee people this day...

Of course! 
I'd got the impression that Gillian and Rebecca knew Misaki already... so perhaps not such a big surprise.
It's interesting that Misaki's stubbies are longer than Gillian's. I guess that having two thigh-stumps, even short ones, allows her to control longer pegs to a greater degree and have a bit more height while still being safe. And she can use her arm-stumps for balance too. Again, that short dress she's wearing is both practical (less chance of it tangling in her pegs) and shows off her false limbs to great effect!
Lovely, lovely end to a fantastic series of pictures! Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish!
As for critique, I can't think of anything major to change in this picture at all. It's great! Maybe Misaki's lovely face is a bit in shadow... but that's about the extent of it!

I guess it wasn't a big surprise, but, no, they didn't know each other (though the 'joke' works whether they do or not !).
Yes, I deliberately make Misaki's stubbies longer than Gillian's precisely for the reason you say. I've thought a lot about this, tried various length. I didn't want to make them too short, but of course not too long either either, to stay plausible enough. This height looked like a good compromise.
Took me time to find the right dress. And I had to modify it, essentially shortening it, precisely to better show her stubbies !
