don,t worry,it,ll be an improvement. i,ll have my own office too,with a door i can lock at the end of the day! plush! that,and no more BIG parking lot and a long bus-ride....all i do is park in a smaller lot,go in a door,flash my ID andd a cat-eatin grin at one guard,up one level on an elevator,a few steps,and i,m "In Da House"!

you could say that,yes. my new partner in the training dept and myself were field/command grade Naval Officers,Vin-Man was a 4-striper{Captain}in a P-3 Orion patrol/ASW outfit,and i was a Full Commander. we will certainly run our classes with an Iron Fist,by the Iron Code of THE NAVY! in addition to normal classroom/office duties,it will also be one of our jobs to decide if a "newbie" is fit for Big Jets,as well as to participate in Company Hearings and Board-Of-Inquiry proceedings to decide if an errant pilot should get "The Chop"! uh-oh...Heah Come Da Judge!

yep,that much power. depending on circumstances,we could even reccommend that the FAA/DOT pull a person,s "ticket"{license{s}suspended or even permanently revoked},thus effectively ending their flying career.

as for flying one,it,s like an overpowered sports car....a narrowbody,but with widebody-capable engines...ah,the sweet song those Rolls-Royces make when spooled up to T/O power...so refined....

Yep. Flew on one of American's 757's from Dallas to Miami a few years back. I loved the buzzsaw sound from those engines.

buzzsaw....from some angles,yes. if you really think about it,the C-1 fan is actually a shrouded propeller.
