for that squadron,yes! every Navy squadron as well as the old Imperial Iranian Air Force{1970s} had their own variation of the basic Tomcat mascot.

I searched for them and it came back with about 50 different versions. Including one that said "Pukin' Dogs".

wow thats one kick ass model/plane. i seen a jolly rogers model the other day but they wanted $150.00 for it and i think the size was 1/200 or 1/32 scale i dunno but it was big box.

must have been this kit,Tamiya 1/32,price tag sounds about right! i remember when this kit first came out back in 1981,and it was about 75-80 dollars back then! kit box is about the size of a small suitcase!
