Well, I suppose getting my private license would be the first thing to do, and after that I think I'll want to go for an instrument rating.

that,s the usual order....next come multiengine and commercial...with the ultimate goal being the ATP rating.

Ah yes, the airlines. Every pilot's dream. Making it to the airlines in a few years would be nice (I'm much too young now, even if I had all my hours I wouldn't be able to get my license because I'm under 17), but I'd rather fly Cessnas and work my way up to it, you know? Besides, I have plenty of time.

it,ll take more than a few years,at least in the US...some other countries,especially in Europe tend to start them out young.

just a small amount of 747 time,mostly as Flight Engineer...we didn,t have very many Jumbos at any given time,and they were being phased out.
