You need a plugin for SketchUp to export the model to DirectX format (x. file) and then load that into the PMD Editor.

SketchUp site - there are several. I use the one by 3D Rad, which is excellent but it has issues with the latest versions of SketchUp and unless you are good with computers, I would not recommend it. If you know the work round, this plug-in is the best for MMD use.

The idea's not new; it's based on some old time Christmas decorations ... but yeah, I read your journal about the windows on Senmei's stage. You might need to outsource some of that to Santa's elves(?)

Lol I wish I dono who would want to do all those windows.. But I was thinking maybe just adding hovering planes with the texture where the window sits. Then the effect can be applied to the planes. I can group them so maybe only a few subsets would need to effect. But that's about the only quick solution I can think of..

Good, I downloaded SketchUp recently, and I think someday I will use it to make something for MMD, especially I got the .x format plugin too, so all the SketchUp tutorials are of interest for me.

I like SketchUp - no nonsense, easy to use and I can build almost anything with it (except it's not good for organic shapes like people).
