GOOD QUESTION!
It is not that obvious but are the steps:
1. Go to File>SETTINGS>Shortcut key
2. Scroll down the list until you find: [Filter+][Advance Editing...]
3. Assign "Ctrl"+"W" to this filter and click OK
Now when you press Ctrl+W it will open up the Advance Editing window.
NB: You don't have to use this shortcut combo, you can designate your own.

Thank you very kindly. I appreciate the helpfulness here since this felt like a total derp moment by me.

Nope it wasn't a "derp moment"; this feature is badly designed. It should have had control access for such an important component in the main menus.

Say, if AvitUl supports only 30fps for now, does that means that we need to use specific plugin to render it to 60fps or there's no plugins for that at all?

When trying to add the audio file, the moment I hit the button to import an audio file before I've even selected the file, I get an error that says "No sound in the editing project." What do I do now?
EDIT: I think I figured it out, but now my video is 40 GB and barely wants to play in my media player. Again, any help?

Use compression and use an mp3 file for the audio.

help me please ;-; I already have the program and the extension but it keeps appearing in Japanese, without all the menus and when I open a .avi video there is a window with many ???? and it does not open, some idea of why?

You need to install the English version of the program which is a bugger to find these days. Fortunately, I have a copy so do the following:
1. Uninstall your current version.
2. Download and install this version from my Google Drive (it has everything you will need from the program): drive.google.com/open?id=1EXKH…

Reconvert the file into the same format using a good format conversion program. This usually clears up issues like this. Also make sure you have the latest codexes installed.

Most codecs comes with the video compression program you are using.
If you do not have such a program installed, get one.
Just Google for "video compression programs" and you should be able to find plenty.
Or simply get a format conversion program, as usually those will come with the required codecs.

Recently I've been using both AviUtl and Sony Vegas, and I found out that AviUtl has a variety of effects to pick from? So which one do you think is better? Vegas or AviUtl?

i'm trying to edit a video in aviutl. But the video size is too big, is there a way for aviutl to still edit it? Because the video's too advanced for me to just, remake.

"...is there a way for aviutl to still edit it?"
No; you're going to have to thin it down or buy more memory for your computer. To thin it down; just run the AVI file through a compression program (such as the Prism Converter) - this will only work if you have sufficient memory; but usually it is doable.

I'm installing the AviUtl Extra Pack as we speak. I just hope this is worth it. I'm working on a certain video which may be too big to put into a single .PMM file, and I'm considering splitting the project into two or three parts. But right now, my biggest hopes are that the original quality of the rendered video is preserved, and that AviUtl can handle 1920x1080 resolution.
Will probably come back to this later.

Trackdancer In reply to CrazyDave55811 [2015-05-18 20:51:34 +0000 UTC]
1920x1080 shouldn't be a problem. More a hardware function than a software function; besides which I've seen Japanese made videos showing AviUtl being used with videos at higher screen sizes. But based on what you wrote, I think the biggest issue for you is whether or not you have sufficient memory; but your strategy is correct, break it down into more manageable parts and reassemble in AviUtl.

I may have to give this a try... I have been going about title in a different way.
Creating .PNG text in Photoshop and adjusting them to x.files.... pretty flexible approach, but this seems a bit more clean and finished..
