It will be pretty hard to hit this error. MMD is actually quite generous already with it's allocation. The issue really only comes up with systems that records massive amounts of positions like a kinect system. But even here, you'll probably have to move around like a madman for about 5 minutes to trigger the limit.

Even if I never see that error in general use just knowing it exists and how to get around it is a big help in case I ever do see it.Β And knowing how this error can happen is the first step in preventing it from happening in the first place.

This brings another interesting point: what do they register in such amounts in MMM/Kinekt that overrides MMD's limit? Most of models just don't have that many bones, and no one usually registers physical bones, which are numerous depending on the hair and/or skirt length? If there's more data crammed into a single keyframe (like, besides position, rotation and interpolation), why does it even have the same file format for motion datas and still can be loaded by MMD?Β Β
This said, never encountered this problem before.Β Β Also, when making long projects I often just divide them into parts, it makes it both easier for me to work with it and easier for PC to process.

It would be really rare to encounter this issue.
As for how to really push against the limit, the best way to do it is with a kinect set up. The amount of data that a system like that can log can reach that limit in fairly short order especially if you move around a lot. To try and do this manually will be really hard.

This is actually a really good bit of information!
It really is too bad that MMM doesn't have a wide selection of MMEs yet, theres a lot of cool stuff you can do with it. Β .3.)

Wait, doesn't MMM support MMD's effects? Maybe they are loaded through different menus, but my friend who tried it says that MMD's effects work just fine in MMM.

You're the first person I've seen who actually uses MMM for things, I find it to be a program where everything is kinda kind your face (as apposed to MMD having a more "minimal" feel to it). MMM's just got a lot of ways of doing the same thing, Β kinda reminds me of MSword.

Nien - I don't even have MMM on my system.

MMM is not a bad program. I just didn't need two programs on my PC that essentially does the same thing. I prefer MMD as it's UI is less cluttered, it has better MME support plus some other features like the capture screen modes that MMM doesn't have.
