So Vector Sigma caused the entire events of "The Rebirth". I always was kinda wondering how Galvatron found out where the key was.

Alpha Trion says something like that during Part 2: the story idea came from that

That's what I like about Transformers Mosaic. It takes seemingly small details and makes them into full stories.

Now this looks interesting.

Some "behind the scenes" notes.

Title is a conflation/paraphrase of "Call Of The Primitives" and "Madman's Paradise".

The battle referenced in panel 1 is the same referenced at the beginning of "The Rebirth". We never saw it take place, but we know that the Decepticon were defeated and scattered across the galaxy.

Vector Sigma's first line is taken from "The Key To Vector Sigma".

Ancestral Foundry: it's the Plasma Energy Chamber, of course.
It seems that Primacron has some advantaged access to it.

I'm not the first one to suggest that Primacron is an entity in balance between Primus and Unicron (hence his name).
When Primacron overwhelms him, Primacron creates "positive" mechs as the Primitives (well, even though some of them chose evil).
When Unicron overwhelms him, Primacron creates "negative" beings: Tornadron, Unicron's new body...

Primacron is possessed like oracles from ancient Greece were possessed by the gods.

Who is gonna be the Autobot champion?

As a prelude to "The Rebirth", this story reveals how Galvatron learned the secret location of the Key to the Plasma Energy Chamber.
And maybe the origin of his new warriors.

This is probly due to using an image from one of the comics as a source, but why is Galvatron a bright purple?

Also, nice story.

Wrong choice. If Rodimus Prime is the other chosen one, this will be one destructive fight for Cybertron.

No Rodimus at this point of the continuity, after The Return Of Optimus Prime

Expanding, tying in, carefully knitting and weaving in tiny gaps between existing fabric, as always.....Franco, you were definitely born to mastermind things!

Nice and refreshing art as well....good piece!

It's very nice that this one came around soon after the "Rodimus vs. Cyclonus" comic book (the one included in the "Battle In Space" toy set). These stories have both the same purpose.

Thanks, I'm flattered!
And let's not forget the final nod to Simon Furman's work: the closing quote comes directly from HIS Galvatron!
