A redesign of Samus in Metroid 1 i did 2 years ago. I would do the environment and her helmet different if i were to do this today, but I still like the redesign overall.Related content

love the idea of her suit developing and upgrading as the series goes (or went?) that not only was SHE changing and getting better, but her suit was as well.

Yeah, I always loved how they expanded that idea in Metroid Prime 2 by having her suit integrate Luminoth technology, instead of just the usual Chozo and GF Tech. It really opened up the possibilities for future games...Too bad Nintendo refuses to give Samus any new suits outside of the Zero, Power, Varia, and Gravity. They don't even seem to acknowledge the Fusion suit anymore (Outside of Smash Bros.).

Well it's because they seemingly keep setting all post-Fusion games in between the first game and Super Metroid. Probably so they don't have to give definitive answers or follow ups to what Samus does after beating SA-X.

Turned out great. Love seeing retro Samus getting some love, and especially with Metroid turning 30 this year.

Thanks! I plan on doing another Metroid tribute piece this year. I feel like Metroid 1 doesn't get the love it deserves. Definitely my favorite NES game.
