I'm all digital now - I use paint tool sai for the lineart + shading (90% of the work) and Photoshop CS5 for the after effects - glow, zoom, etc.

If you are iffy about getting a tablet, take it from a fellow person who once was. It's been about a year since I first bought my tablet, and my art has improved like 1000-fold. It's an awesome investment - I wish I had done it earlier (although I really had no reason to before I started TSB). Do it!!

hehehe, thanks, i appreciate the advice, i actually just got a wacom like a month ago "medium" been practicing ever since, sometimes i do get discouraged >.> but thats when i take some rest, im still trying to figure out whats the correct way to practice, right now, im just practicing front view / 3 quarters view i'll keep drawing those everyday until im satisfied with them >.> i've already bought some books as well >.> and people like you who mare some tutorials are really helpful "thank you!" .. its always been my passion to draw since i was a teenager, but i had to stop after getting married and becoming a dad and i never liked sketching on paper cuz i dont like others to look at what im doing >.>

anyways, i blabbered enough lol, thanks for answering the questions and taking your time to make tutorials

Eeeeeh, I really want to use this tutorial but I always feel lazy just coloring like someone else, and it definitely doesn't help when trying to be original, ha ha.

That's why I always urge people to experiment - mix and match techniques until you can settle into a style you like.
