It looks great. One problem that is really putting me off though is the icons on the taskbar at the bottom. They've all gone pixelated and that. If there's a way to fix this, please sure, it puts me off as I use it lol.

inertiafx In reply to inertiafx [2007-11-22 21:10:51 +0000 UTC]

Oooooo, I've figured it out. I had to size down one of the font options.

Great stuff, just have to get used to the subtle changes now lol. (Y)

Aww shite, triple post ahoy.

Yeah, turning down the font size fixed the blurred icons on the taskbar.

HOWEVER, doing that made the minimize & maximize buttons on windows disappear! The 'x' is still there, but is the smaller button.

There any chance you could encorporate smaller versions of the maximize & minimize buttons please. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one would be very appreciative.

Well, I've always loved your VIsta Aero theme from Vista VG Ultimate, but I didn't like the almost-navy-blue looking titlebar in the black theme (it did not mix well with the black taskbar). I changed the theme of FIrefox to a darker theme, but it didn't go too well with the light titlebar from the light Aero theme.

I was overjoyed when I saw that you made a new Vista Black theme, so I downloaded it right away...I like it much better than the black theme in the VIsta Ultimate pack, though I see some issues.

For one, the minimize/close/maximize etc. buttons have an odd white border on the top that doesn't seem to fit very well. There is also a red space between the buttons, and the titlebar as maximized is the same navy blue as the older theme, though un-mazimized it is as black as the taskbar. Call me critical, but am I the only one who sees this?

Those are the only annoyances about the theme that I have; I'm not asking you to fix these, I am just notifying you about these possible errors (and I fixed them for myself using the StyleBuilder). If you want to see the results of my "fixing" by chance, let me know...

the close/minimize/restore button does not stick to the top of the titlebar (unlike ur other VS, the vista ultimate)..... otherwise it's ok, but i'd rather stick to ur vista ultimate VS unless this one is fixed

nice job!

Sorry for asking this but how to you put the system tasks bar on the left ? Because here its on the bottom and it's really anoying. Thanks in advance Leal.

Vishal-Gupta In reply to Pauloleal3 [2007-10-16 21:24:31 +0000 UTC]

Common Tasks Pane placement is decided by "Shellstyle.dll" file in the theme you are using in Windows. So you can use any theme "Shellstyle.dll" file. In my this theme the tasks pane is displayed at the left side.

Serophos In reply to ??? [2007-10-12 20:33:50 +0000 UTC]

Hmm,
havin three issues with this style:

1) Startmenu is broken on _non-english_ Windows (i.e. german Windows XP)

2) Is it intended that all text (Taskbar, Start and App-Menu) use a bold font?

3) There seems another weird display problem when Clear Type is activated. Looks very weird, makes me dizzy

Oh and a question:
Are you allowed to redistribute the Segoe UI Font?

Cheers from Serophos

Vishal-Gupta In reply to Serophos [2007-10-12 21:13:18 +0000 UTC]

Hi

First thanks for the fav.

1. Can't say about it coz I use English version.
2. I didnt set it to BOLD. Must be some problem at your side. Try to first apply default Luna theme and then re-apply my theme. Its working fine here.
3. I'm also using Clear Type and its perfect here.
4. Yep.You can.

Hi

Yeah. Seems the patcher didnt work correctly. Boot into safe mode by pressing "F8" key and then run the patcher. It should work now.

LazyMonk [2007-09-17 11:32:51 +0000 UTC]

beautiful work, downloaded and in use already!!

one small issue, the fonts in the start button sub-menus do not change along with the 'menu' item properties in the 'advanced appearance' dialog under 'display properties' --> 'appearance' (the other fonts like active title, icons, etc.. do change), and could be too small for those who work with high screen resolution (like myself).

anyway that won't stop me from using this beautiful work, thanx.
