Was I the only one ticked off that Dee Dee was hardly shown in the movie Ego Trip?! To remedy this travesty I decided to draw her myself.As my sister would say, puberty was kind to Dee Dee. XD
Anyway I tried to keep in design with the film by following the formulae used for Dex and Mandark and the other characters in the movie.
There's the original version (obviously), then the future version (which has a similar face but different body type), then the apocalyptic version (if Dexter gets to be buff and manly Dee Dee gets to be hot), and then the elderly version. XD And where Dexter's symbol is the wrench and Mandark's is an M, Dee Dee's is a heart.I think I overthought this.

yup, thats definitely DeeDee's life span summed up. XD I wonder if action DeeDee had just shown up at the epic battle between all the Dexter's and Mandarks if the Mandarks would've just surrendered before Original DeeDee would have the chance to push the button and save the future.
LOL I do think its funny though that even though it was technically DeeDee who saved the future, even the robots that Dexter sent after DeeDee go after Dexter thinking it was him that saved the future.
Maybe its because Dexter is the one that built the time machine in the first place.......O-O"Sudden Realization"LOL

I think the Mandarks would all have just dropped to their ugly knees and worshipped, haha. And Dexter would have been furious.
Interesting point about the robots, but I think the whole reason they didn't actually FIGHT Dexter (they just stand there while Dexter attacks them) was because they didn't think he was the one who saved the future. But they couldn't find Dee Dee because she would have already gone through the time machine. But yeah, Dexter did have a major role in saving the future even if he didn't push the button.

To be honest, I had that same feeling--in fact, I think that was why I wasn't interested in the movie when it first came out. I never really saw the movie in its entirety--just a small piece of it.
Number one is super cute and Action Dee Dee reminds me a lot of Deestruction from the comic book episode.

I actually don't think I saw it either when it came out (more interested in PPG haha) but I did remember the ads.
And yeah, Action Dee Dee reminded me of Deestructa too - in fact I imagine Dee Dee would talk like that as an adult, since comic book Dexter had the same voice as Action Dexter....

I too was more interested in PPG--I love PPG. A lot of the Cartoon Cartoons that I had no interest in at a younger age such as Courage the Cowardly Dog, I sadly realized were really good--once they were dropped off Cartoon Network.

I agree - I watched DL a lot when it came out (Johnny Bravo too, though I don't remember it much) but PPG pretty much absorbed all my interest in 2000/2001, haha. I also watched some Courage at that point, but afterward we lost cable and I haven't had CN since - except on Youtube, lol. I never would have expected to get into Dexter again except for some vids on the web I randomly stumbled across one day!

Yeah--in my freshman year in college--I discovered on Youtube that Courage the Cowardly Dog was far more amazing than I had ever realized when it first came out.
Besides PPG I adored Ed Edd and Eddy.

loved them all! Teen Dee Dee looks great and pretty, the "action" ones looks amazing and cool, and I loved how old Dee Dee waer gymnastic uniforms - she is really athletic!

Thank you! My original design for old Dee Dee had her in a robe and slippers but I think Dee Dee would still try to stay active even when she's old (as opposed to Dexter who gets around in a hovercraft, lolol).

Hey I noticed this too, I mean she only got one line throughout the entire movie and it produced a odd ending to such a great movie.
I hope it doesn't imply that Dee Dee got killed sometime in the future by one of Dexter's new inventions by accident (it's bound to happen to her one day.)

Well, at least she got to save the day and defeat Mandark herself, right? I mean Dexter never DID achieve victory, if you think about it....
And when I saw this on YouTube people in the comments were saying that Dee Dee wouldn't have been in the rest of the film because of the time space loop thing... I didn't get it but I think there's supposed to be some logic behind it, haha.

I like to think that Action Dee Dee might actually be helpful to Dexter but he'd probably still ignore her, haha. But it would be fun to draw them together...hmm....
