Description The final drawing in the series giving a look at the other side, the British army.
Both characters depicted are captains in the "Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry Regiment", each 2i/c (second-in-command) in a Company (B and C, respectively) of the Second Battalion in the regiment. They are old friends from school, which is what prompted them to join up together, even though Arthur, who is an Irishman, could have joined in one of the Irish national regiments.

They are both right-handed, but Scott (he prefers being called by his surname because he detests the name Robert) wears his holster in a cross-draw, even though regulation stipulates it should be carried on the right side.

Both officers prefer private purchase weapons -Scott uses a Webley Mk IV Safety Pocket Revolver while Arthur a Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver.

Hurrah! Great to see more of your stuff. These drawings are fantastic. Of all of them, I especially love Lecompte's uniform and Simon's machine gun. As beautiful as most of these uniforms are, I think I have to say Simon's my favourite just for the sheer level of detail! I've always liked uniforms and you've started a deep appreciation for French uniforms in me.

I've always liked how the ranks of the British army in the earliest 20th Century was placed on the sleeve. Always found it a pity that the use of snipers made the Army change it to epaulettes after WW1.

Anyway, these drawings are fantastic. How varied do you intend to depict the regiments of your story? For example, would there be Colonials, like the French Moroccans, Indians and ANZACs, and other unique regiments such as Highlanders, French Foreign Legion and Green Jackets.
