Something about the fetus just made the other dreams more unsettling, maybe because I was expecting something like that to pop up again during the sequence.Man, what a freaking tease.

Yeah, it was only his odd dreams that were disturbing. The one with the papers falling was just bizarre and surreal enough to give you a sort of chilling feeling, mainly because you don't really know just what the heck that was about. You nailed my thoughts on the "Muriel shattering" one. At first the animation isn't so bad, but the lighting is dark enough to spark an uneasy feeling, and the distorted piano music doesn't help. But then when the characters shatter, it looks freaky because they stop being flat cut-outs and fly apart a three-dimensional way.

I think the problem is that 97% of the animated films coming out these days are CGI. Most of the 90's films were primarily hand-drawn. People are just sick of CGI by now.

CGI, I think lacks some of the charm that traditional cartoons had. Something is just really nice about 2-D characters.

Yeah, that's another reason why everyone's sick of CG, including me. Being somebody who draws nonstop, I really enjoy watching hand-drawn cartoons. Just looking at everything and remembering that every movement was drawn one frame at a time is really fascinating for me.

I love hand drawn so much, I'm hopeful that we'll see more 2-D animated films. Ignoring the SpongeBob Movie, we haven't seen a western 2-D film get a theatrical release since 2011 with Winnie the Pooh.

I watches this show when I was like three and it didn't bug me whatsoever, although I started to catch on to the concept of The Mask when I was like ten and the episode got reruns.

I give you props for being that tough. I was a little too innocent to understand the underlying tones of the Mask,
so I didn't realize what it was about till I was twelve.
