Description I've seen some trolls (or those who somehow aren't) use this term to excuse there stupid behavior or argument.
It doesn't excuse it. Seriously it fucking doesn't.
Just because that guy is considered "butthurt" to you DOESN'T FUCKING MEAN, his/her argument's no longer true. It still counts and doesn't change.

It also doesn't make your argument any better in one bit if you used that term.

Example:
There can be a very bias critic around.. I could be upset about it and I might argue it.. I might be considered "butthurt" by some stupid hater, but does that mean my reaction doesn't count? No. It's still fair to call that critic 'bias' because it still doesn't change the fact that the critic was bias.
"butthurt" doesn't change ANY of that. Period.

Another example:
Going out and making a journal as a reaction to a person arguing and using the term "butthurt" doesn't make your reaction any good. You STILL NEED TO argue and actually try to debunk it. 'Butthurt' 'White Night', etc doesn't make your opinion a winner.

Not even that "YOU'RE WINNER !" thing.

__________

Here is something.

__________

What now? Are you going to pretend this whole post doesn't count because you might think that I'm "butthurt"?
If so, then no fucking wonder people are getting more dumb.

__________

Also, I don't know if this counts as a stamp.. Can I call it a stamp?

Some guy who kept getting up in my face about my interests in the furry fandom. I forget his name though and I think it's for the best.

Yea I've seen a lot stupid kids use that word thinking they won just because they said it. If you think about it though, butthurt is a rather...goofy term. I think it just makes someone sound like a little 8 year old or something along the line. So I dont really use the term unless its suitableΒ

As for your submission, if you meant it to be a stamp, then its a stamp, even though technically it looks more like a sign than anything. At least to me it does.

I can't remember if I intended this to be a stamp. :/ Maybe I can just call it a stamp if I want? xD
Yeah it looks like a sign too.. I wonder if there is a different amount of groups like stamp groups to put this on?

It all really depends on how the person takes your side of the argument. Doesn't matter which opinion is right necessarily, if you can't handle the other person's opinion without getting all huffy and puffy then you are indeed fanny troubled.

That includes going through incredible lengths to prove someone wrong over something that ultimately doesn't matter,Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

wwwarea In reply to skhellaphobia [2014-12-08 00:04:59 +0000 UTC]

Honestly it should matter on only what's correct. That's it. It should not matter if one of the debaters are angry or something, it only matters on the argument.

Going up to a person and saying "Your silly" is not only rude and immature, but a need to continue to being dumb (depends).

the term can be over used but it has it's meanings.Β

And to be honest, MAYBE I was misunderstanding some things so maybe that could count as overreacting, but that still won't change what I argue it's self, nor does it make your "I'm silly because I "butthurt"" argument valid.

wwwarea In reply to MidnightCrystalUmi [2014-12-07 04:53:31 +0000 UTC]

Sorry but it's not a good word to use when debating.. When it comes to arguing, "butthurt" is not an excuse to make an important (or any) side of argument better.
Also, I just don't see how it's silly to post this because I find it a virus to the world to use any weird word like that to excuse a comment like "Haha you butthurtz" against an argument that is based on: Research, Study, etc etc..
Not only that, but the most messed up thing is how many people tend to think that it's an excuse; ignoring the importance of the main point in the argument.

I just don't see any reason for it to be valuable to a comment unless that other person misunderstood something.

LordMasterJohn [2014-12-07 00:49:35 +0000 UTC]

I think the term is used for someone who is Overreacting.

Altough its true that those who dont know how to argue use it way too much.

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

wwwarea In reply to LordMasterJohn [2014-12-07 02:42:49 +0000 UTC]

Sadly some decide that I would overreact too I think. I also heard it means having feelings hurt..
Either way, I still don't think it should be used, even if the arguing person was "overreacting". :/

I just think that posting a reply to a large explaining opinion by saying "haha butthurt" is completely immature. :/

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LordMasterJohn In reply to wwwarea [2014-12-07 03:13:51 +0000 UTC]

For what ive seen, you could moderate yourself better (Altough their reaction wont change)

Its also those who cant take anything.
(even the most harmless of things)

Maybe its because you have deveolped a huge hatred for the word (because of all the arguments you get yourself in)
Because most people will say "Youre just butthurt" instead of "Youre overreacting"

Youre actually right,
Today everything that has to do with giving your opinion, reasonably arguing or disagreeing they will call it butthurt.

I think they should use the word Butthurt for when some guy is overreacting, making a big deal out of nothing or getting offended by everything.
I think theres where you can reply "Youre Butthurt, LOL"

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

wwwarea In reply to LordMasterJohn [2014-12-07 05:04:23 +0000 UTC]

You kind of make a good point, but it should never, and I mean never be used to act as if that makes the other arguing person "better".
But of course, "overreacting" is not a bad word to use all the time. Like for example: If I'm misunderstanding something then I think it's good to use the word: 'overreacting'. Though, 'butthurt' still sounds like a troll word.
Or if someone is offended by something that isn't even meant to be an insult.. e.g.: If someone goes out and be upset about seeing some "fetish" somewhere (wasn't forced either).

But however, when it comes to a legit argument, it should never matter why the person argued in the first place, even if his taking seriously was all based off misunderstanding. I mean I still think it would be immature to say that as it still sounds rude; the person could say it more mature if the guy was misunderstanding and still probably argue further if the OP still posted some interesting research.

Sadly some people really used that word (and whitenight) to act that I was stupid and posted that as an excuse in a journal, just because I stood up (for any reason), and I think when it comes to things like that, arguing further, better research, etc should be the boss here in that case when he/she is going to react in an opposing way. I think you already covered this, but yeah they should be taught that it's not how debating works best.

Sorry if my reply was weird. Had to edit it in earlier parts before posting..
