Wow I could freak out right about now. Thank you so very much for this. I have been looking forever, for a tutorial like this. Just moved from Photoshop to Gimp and was so devasted I didn't know any techniques for my photomanipulations. Thank you for helping me with lighting!!

It has been over a year since the last comment on this deviant, but that just shows the beauty of a really good tutorial. Many of them are timeless and are still a treasure to up and comers who weren't around when it was first created. Thanks for creating it for the rest of us. Light and Shadow is a topic that I am certain that I will spend years learning to effectively apply in my own work, but techniques and tips like these will certainly make that journey just a little easier and less frustrating.
