Description Ok, so I've been trying to use GreenerShader (or G-Shader) on my laptop but this happens every time I try loading the shader onto a model; it turns white.

I know other people have had this problem before but no matter how much I search there seems to be no one who really knows what's causing it or how to fix it...

Before anyone asks, yes I am using the latest version of MMD and MME, and I've tried downloading older versions of the shader but none of them are working properly. I also tried unzipping the folder both with and without using applocale but still there's no change. Same thing if I try turn off self-shadow (that some people recommend).

My graphics card is an Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000, I don't know if that is any useful information but just thought I should mention it (and yes, I've updated that one too).

The download to the effect can be found here:

It seems the only thing I had to do to make it work was updating MME. I thought I had the latest version but maybe I was wrong...
For those of you that have the same problem, try updating MME, a link can be found here:

Could you help me with the new MMD? I wanted to use NCHL shader but no matter how many time i install MME into the new MMD, MME wont work.

Sometimes the problem lies in the model version of MME (or the effect itself)
I advise you to download the same effect in ultra version
or re-download the row
which it could probably be stao corrupt while unloading

Some MikuMikuEffects aren't made to work for some computers. For instance, I cannot load Toon Shaders onto models without the white appearing.

Maybe some of your graphics card drivers are outdated, you could always try that as well as defragging it (so long as it's been 6 months since the last defrag)

Or, perhaps (like in comments past) your computer has simply started locking it down. Try unlocking each zip folder before removing it to the desktop (Properties > Unblock > Apply > OK)

Or it could be your laptop is simply too old to handle it. Sometimes the older a computer gets, the less it is able to take tasks like before. Try also cleaning out the gunk in your computer as the fan can also cause problems like this

Those are the only things I can think of at the top of my head. Best wishes! <3

Does this only happen on this particular laptop? If so, the iGPU probably just can't process it, the same way my VAIO couldn't process Beam Man's Muszzle Flash effect.
One thing you can try is reinstalling all of the pre-reqs and then rebooting. Direct X can get twitchy over time. I don't know what OS flavor the lappy's running, but all the x86/x64 links are still up over at VPVP, so it might be worth a shot.

Old versions of programs ...
Also, I usually turn off the selfshadow when using greenershader

I had this problem
The only thing you have to do, is download the latest MME and paste it to your MMD folder. Even if you think you have the latest - do it. It likes to "block" sometimes.

Whoa guess what... it worked! o.O
Thankyou very much for telling me. I thought I had the latest version but maybe I was wrong...

maybe you should try a newer version of greenershader then or it might have to do with the self shadow, that's all I can think of.
That, or your running system doesn't support it.
