When I make paper mache there's a lot of papules and I don't know what to do with them

Hi there - sorry for the very late reply, I haven't been around here for a while. Thanks for your lovely comment! In answer to your question, to make things smooth, sandpaper is your friend. Sandpaper, and lots and lots of elbow power.

A really sinister piece! The shading on the eyes is beautiful, and the blood trickles are just enough to disturb without dominating the face.
