I'm betting a lot of you are pretty anxious to get a skin on your journal, even if it's just a basic quickie. Well, here's six quickies for you to choose from, and you're free to modify them however you likeClick the Download link to get a ZIP file with all the CSS. Each skin is in its own text file, just copy & paste it all into the CSS box in your journal.

To use CSS in your journal you need to be a subscriber. Otherwise the CSS box will not show up in your journal editing center.

What about those of us that can't deal with Zip folders?

WinRAR is a great tool for dealing with zip and rar files. The trial version is full-featured, it just has a nag window each time you start it.

Thanks. I might take you up on the questions thing. Well, see how muchI can get on my own. Taught myself html, so it's just a matter of wrapping my head around css instead.

Should we link you if we use these? Also, are these available for non beta-testers?
π: 0 β©: 1
zikes In reply to waiting4wings [2006-10-08 12:45:02 +0000 UTC]
No need for a link or mention, they're relatively quick templates I just whipped up in some free time, so I'm not overly concerned with what's done with them
As far as I know journal CSS is available to Senior members and all Subscribers, whether they've turned on beta testing or not.

uhmmm i'm wondering... can normal members use this journal CSS function thing as well..?

zikes In reply to fireflowerfairy [2006-10-04 06:19:16 +0000 UTC]
Unfortunately journal CSS is available only to subscribers and senior members, but there's a great contest by =duhcoolies that's for unsubscribed members only! All you have to do is design a journal skin (no coding at all, just use photoshop and show what you want it to look like) and the best skins win a subscription AND get their skins coded for them! People have been donating subcriptions left and right, and right now there are 40 prizes up for grabs, so you should head over to his journal and see how to enter!
