Description
[link]My last eye painting tutorial is pretty old and I've been getting e-mails about adding more detail to it.
There's like, a billion eye painting tuts out there, but I just wrote one for Painter Magazine so I thought I'd post the steps.
No words! It's pretty self explanatory.
Done in Corel Painter X (using digital airbrush) with my trusty ol' Wacom Intuos2 tablet.
Same principles apply in Photoshop too.

Use your tutorial in my latest painting of Dugg Mc K . My painting is done in real paint , but the concept you did for the digital eyes can be transferred to traditional. It helped me make the eyes so real thank you so much .[link]

Thanks so much for submitting this <3 I bought the 'Fantasy Art' magazine with the compilations of tutorials, mainly from Advanced Photoshop and Corel Painter magazine (for those who haven't heard of it). I was really impressed by the tutprial in there, but sadened by the fact there were so few stages (ie, no around-the-eye shading techniques etc.).
I was really pleased to find it here Thanks so much!

You lost me at step 8...
What happens between step 7 and 8?
Do you just draw the parts, or do you use a certain technique?

What do you mean with the lines in the first step?

What she means is proportion from the side of the nose.
Vertical line should be the inner corner of the eye, then at a 45 degree angle from the side of the nose, that should be the middle part of the eye. then about half of the 45 degrees should be the outer corner of the eye..
Did that make sense? If not, I can try explaining it another way. ^

Ok. When I draw eyes, then I don't have to use any angles.
But now I understanding this step. Thank you.
