Description
Tutorial For [link]This picture is no way connected to the web-browser Fire Fox, its not for Fire Fox, I did not get inspired by it, and it doesn't look like anything like it. If I hear anything about the stupid web browser I will scream, and curse lots.
*uses the firefox browser though* Its very awesome I say^^
but no relation to the pic!!
Now that thats said and done!
It'll probably take a little while to load :/ its kind of a big file. Hopefully its not too confusing to understand^^ if you have any questions at all Don't hesitate to note me, or email me...or whatever.
enjoy!
Edit
-I don't really give a damn if this tutorial 'wasn't funny like my last ones' this was one to teach, not to amuse. (plus with a tutorial like this one there was little room to make it funny.)
Yet another edit
-The font I used is called AvQuest
- No I'm not going to give you the brushes I used, my computer got re-vamped and I no longer have them
DOUBLE EDIT Click DOWNLOAD to view the tutorial!!

Very nice, I've never been able to figure out the sketchy lineart and get it just right... I think I understand the trick now. Thanks for making this

I know this sounds silly, but I never realized that the reason my pictures had a very cartoonish feel to the was because of the black line art. Thank you so much for the tips! This definitely one of the best tutorials on dA

That is SO-O-O-O nice!! And you made it look simple too! Of course you obviously have awesome talent to do such a great sketch and rendering in the first place...
Great inspiration thanks!! I've ordered an Intuos4, will have it next week -- yeehaw!!

Do you recommend the intuos medium size tablet? It's $369, which equals this year's birthday and Christmas money combined. So, I want it to be worth it if I spend that kind of money on it. Does a tablet really make a difference? I just draw on paper since I can't make heads or tails of paint shop pro 7; which is obviously why I'm looking at this tutorial.

Well for starters I use Photoshop for this tutorial So you probably won't be able to learn much, I highly recommend getting photoshop it's a lot easier to use *nods* You can also download GIMP which is like photoshop but free!
Tablets are great! But they take a LOT of getting used too, I have a hard time drawing on the computer still, the tablet has however sped up my colouring a LOT though. and I find I can add certain details that I wouldn't be able too with a mouse or a pencil.
I have a medium sized tablet, and when I did this tutorial I had the small sized one so size didn't really matter honestly. The wacom Intuos tablets are some of the best out there, I am very happy with them!
Hope that helped!

Thank you! That was very helpful. I think I will get Photoshop. They say you get what you pay for, so if the Intuos is so expensive, it must be good. Does the tablet come with any software, or do you buy that separately?

Remember, if you are having issues drawing with pencils the tablet won't really help much with that I would recommend getting a Bamboo or a Graphire tablet from Wacom, they are cheaper and great for beginners. The tablets don't come with the software, and if they do it's real shitty haha. You have to purchase that separately *nodnods*

What's the difference between the bamboo, and the intuos? I saw the bamboo came in pen and touch, but I assumed that it must be crappy if it was so cheap.

You can read the spec's on wacom.com [link]
I'm recommending them if you haven't used a tablet before, or Photoshop. There is no sense blowing 400+ (half a months rent ak)dollars on something you don't know how to use, and won't know the difference. Cheaper doesn't necessarily mean 'crappier.' I was unsure if I was even going to like using tablet at first, so I bought a 40$ one lol, because I didn't know if this would be a fleeting thing-- would even be using it a year from now. When I got better at the tablet, and found I was using it almost every day, I upgraded to an intuos *nods* It's a really big investment and it's a lot of money to drop on something you are unfamiliar with. Just food for thought

Lower the resolution to make your avatar smaller without cropping it.

This was seriously very helpful. I'm glad to see someone also uses CS2 YEAH!
As soon as I find a way to get mine online, I'll refer back to this so thx.
BTW, how long did step 2 take? I'm curious because I have only started photoshop like 2 months ago *sob* I wish someone dragged me into it earlier on.
