This REALLY helps! lol now all I need are the markers Xd I have the exact type of pens, eraser, a di love using mechanical pencils for detail, just need those damn markers XD

wow. that was extremely helpfull! i always thought that the tools used for highlights like on the lips/eyes/hair etc. were some fancy pen that could only be bought in some other country, but its just a gel pen?? you've made my life soo much easier. hahaha. thanks again for posting this! I LOVE your drawing style btw!

yeah, it's just a gel pen xD well, ive seen some manga artists use crazy japanese paintbrushes and needle pens for the same effect, but thats just so silly to me xD

um, regular printer paper works totally fine for me, [link] [link] those two were both done on regular 8.5x11 printer paper, but i do have this totally spiffy, big black sketchbook made by copic with paper made especially for markers. it's thick and uber smooth, and i love it. i bought a really big size tho, so i only use it occasionally, i did these two on it [link] [link]

It's a genius plan. -nod nod- My mom was quite willing to buy me some prismacolor markes, too. I've been practicing~~~ they really are VERY fun! ^^

This is a good tutorial, wish I ahd markers that thin... then again it isn't the tool but the person using them... but it is helpful to have good tools... '_';

I don't use markers for coloring (it is far too much of a drain on my wallet) but looking at your use of colors with markers gave me many insights on how to use some of those techniques in photoshop.

oh i know, they're so expensive, that's why i only own two XD all the other markers i use are Prismacolor, they're much cheaper, harder to use, but at least they're affordable

hurm, well, i went to Devil's Lake yesterday (it's the highest point in wisconsin, idk why it's called that tho) with my last remaining friends (they're going to Bible school too, only in Colorado, so they leave late like me) and we hiked and swam, and the car ride was 2.5 hours and that was so much fun, we just talked about theology, and opinions, and politics and whatever, it was awesome. i love hanging out with my church friends ^^
and then we had pb&j sandwiches, and yeah.
now im all sore from all the hiking, daaaaah xD

it was really breezy and idk, there were like, NO bugs, it was awesome, and no, wisconsin is so low and flat, that there was, like, no elevation change xD woot for wisconsin and all its coolness but yeah, i dont like camping either, i hate bugs, and dirt, and getting dirty, and sweat, and being grimy UHG. but i LOVE hiking, it's my favourite form of excercize, that and hiking xD

They are always too expensive. Get some tria (letraset) or prismacolor markers if you want comparable quality for less cost. I've never heard anything bad about them but some marker purists may disagree.
