The King of All Monsters, and the second of his kind, the Showa King, Godzilla appeared shortly after Gojira’s first appearance in 1954 and after much observation is considered a close relative, possibly a sibling. Regardless, this warrior of kaiju is Earth's most powerful kaiju and a defender, acting as a judge, jury and executioner against kaiju who commit injustice to the natural order. He was mainly prominent from 1955 to 1975 and is also considered the most intelligent of the Godzilla clan, and capable of utilizing strategy to which it's presumed he has near-human intelligence. He was known for being particularly aggressive in the early years of his reign before this trait gradually faded as a result of adopting another of his kind, Minilla.

While training his young heir, Godzilla entered an alliance with the other Alpha kaiju, Gernonimon and Gamera, with Mothra acting as mediator between the three parties. This action angeredseveral other members of the Godzilla Clan and he was openly challenged by the Heisei King and The Millenium Rogue. Although The Heisei King backed down from the challenge after battling Mothra and Battra, The Millenium Rogue continuously challenged Godzilla, even long after he had committed to retiring to remaining primarily on Monster Island as his home territory, surrounded by his guard.

Despite only being physically seen in the mid-late twentieth century, the Showa Godzilla is believed to have also existed in ancient times alongside the mythical Zo Zlo Halawa as a child as ancient legends from the Houtua of Infant Island have described the nuclear king fighting alongside the ancient Alpha Titan as a child against numerous threats to the world. Regardless, even today as a new threat arises, Godzilla will do whatever he shall to protect this planet, even if it means he has to lay down his life.

As the Showa King left Monster Island, he had felt himself somewhat frustrated and annoyed at how he was left unaware of this abomination for so long. Regardless, he would go towards the last location that this abomination had been, where it had slain his comrade, Jet Jaguar. The smell of burning metal and radiation permeated the air as he waded through the Russian coastal forest, snow falling from the trees with every step he took. While the Showa King was a warrior, his intelligence was not something spoke much of as he would be one to investigate the scene of his friend's murder.

It was only after close inspection that Godzilla would take note of the massive footprint left in the rocky ground. Four toes, all clawed. The shape wasn't like any of the other members of the Godzilla Clan. It was almost human-like in its shape, if one were to blur their eyes. The dragging in the dirt between the footprints indicated the presence of a tail. It was with these that Godzilla followed the trail as it went back into the ocean. Whatever this thing was, it was big and slow, and dragged itself along the ground. Even as he entered the freezing depths, he could see the trail along the ocean floor. It could not swim, only walk. This indicated that his enemy was not agile, it was heavy if unable to swim. This led him to believe he was dealing with a powerhouse that knew how to focus it's power with precision. A dangerous opponent

It was only as Godzilla followed this trail that he felt himself more intrigued. He felt most at home when within the ocean. Even as his tail swished through the depths and his dorsal scutes emitted a dim cerulean glow, he would follow the trail for several hours southeast. It was only as he emerged off the coast of San Francisco that he would look towards the burning inferno that was once a human city. He was too late to stop its attack, feeling the heat of the flames as a warm glow hit his charred gray hide. However, it was with the sudden distant roar that reminded him far too much of that Millenium Rogue, followed by the pained screeching of another that he would be determined to intervene and face this oppressor himself, feeling fury as smoke flared from his nostrils. He hadn't fought a true opponent since he killed Ghidorah with his guard in 1999, but regardless this would make good exercise of this serial killer.

It was time to fight.
