The Firebat class Interceptor is a one-person light fighter in the Star Trek world. In a battle, the fighters are quickly scrambled in large numbers from big vessels such as the Galaxy or Sovereign class (or a special carrier ship that I am currently designing). By using their large numbers and very quick sub-light speeds, the small craft's main role is to overwhelm the enemy and deal quick precise blows with it's fierce armament. The fighters return to their mothership after battle because they are not meant for long durations of solitary space travel.

*Firebats have warp engines capable of Warp Factor 3, but this can be upgraded if the mission calls for a long range role.

The enclosed cockpit module ejects in case of emergency.
