Description
I'mma do a shading tut too but I thought shading white and yellow should be separate since they're quite the butt to explainI also think I ate three year old tacos shells left open in the package. They do not taste good.

Nice tutorial! Also some stuff I noticed:
- well I wouldn't make the shading look so flat, if you get what I mean.. Also I would make all the shading colors lighter, because too big contrast between the two shades that follow eachother (like lightest and second lightest) doesn't really look good... Just saying, I'd make smaller contrast between the white and the other shades and bigger contrast between the shades themselves.
- apparently, this can help in extra effects: brownscale would make the image look kind of 'old styled', for example. Do you also have a tutorial how to add effects like night or artifical light? You know how for example in the night, everything has a more puplish tone to it and stuff? I'd love to learn how to actually make it look like that without some fancy program.

Thank you and thanks for the advice
Yeah, I noticed how strong the contrasts are but I did
that so they'd be more noticeable for those who are
learning. I'm gonna do a second shading tut for actual
shading with subtler contrasts and such.
I don't have a tut for night or artificial light but
those are great ideas. I think I'll do those too at a
later date~

Omg, I died from laughter. It is always fun to read what your have to say, but on the image or in your desc. In this case I will go on about what the image itself says first. For the gray substitute that is nice and dandy if the image doesn't need to be white/gray but when the char design you are DOING is supposed to be white, than what? Doing brown, is no longer white.. client can be pissy. I know I would. So not sure if that trick would work for me personally tho do I understand its use. The yellow, omg lol snot. I never thought of it compared to that but I guess it works, lol. So gross, always is but yet it is hard to know because if you pull in TOO much red/orange it takes away from the yellow. Such a pain in the ass. Omg. Why can't we have as many already made pixels to pull from as there are fun crayons?
Always lots of crayon color shades.
The yellow with the subtle orange DOES look far better than the green-yellow, no doubt.
Now onto your desc, ugh on the tacos. That sucks. Those from a store-bought box I assume??

Well, the brown on white was only an example. It was merely to show an
alternative to gray since I've seen it EVERYWHERE and a lot of people
are afraid to branch into other colors
No crayons for you for the yellow, it just takes a bit of practice and
constantly zooming in and out until you're happy with the color. Some people
like them really saturated and some don't~
As for my tacos, they were from the box. They tasted exactly like cardboard
and I asked my mom how long they were in the pantry. She had no idea and I
don't recall eating tacos till years ago XD

Oh lol yes I figured that as much, just was sharing my thoughts on it since that is the one you picked to sample. But but I like crayons.
I will try to play with it a bit more when I have to work with yellow again.
LOL well I hope that taught your mom a lesson to clean out cupboards more often, check for dates.
