Tammy did not know what to do. When she first joined the Junebug Talent Agency, it filled her with excitement.  It was her first memory so she remembered it well. She expected a happy and successful career in show business, but as the months went by she gradually became aware that this was never going to happen.  Despite doing her best to serve Ms. Harris and the Junebug Talent Agency, none of them showed any sign of appreciation. They had not even acknowledged what she had done for them.

Tammy wanted to leave, but she dared not leave. Every time she attempted it, she felt really depressed. She ended up returning so she could relieve her depression with more of their music. She tried taking their music with her, but it was just not the same. The music made her want to return even more.

Even if Tammy did manage to leave, she had nowhere to go. She had no memories of anything she did before joining the Junebug Talent Agency. Such memories were not important but she wanted to remember them anyway.  Her unimportant memories could help her figure out who she was.

One day seemed just like another.  Nothing ever changed, at least not in any significant way. Tammy had to leave no matter how depressed it made her. However, even the idea of leaving made her depressed. It was an endless cycle from which she could not escape.

Rumors spread about shapeshifters who could change their appearance. Some of the more powerful ones could supposedly even change the appearance of others. Tammy had no reason to believe such rumors but she had no reason not to believe them either. For all she knew, someone could have changed her appearance before she joined the Junebug Talent Agency. Her unimportant memories may not have been as unimportant as she thought they were.

Tammy could not trust anyone in the Junebug Talent Agency because none of them trusted her. She needed to find someone outside the agency who understood this stuff. That someone could guide her to safety or at least end her depression. It was far better than the alternative.
