Peter had a controlling girlfriend but he did not mind. Cathrine was one of the few people who accepted him just as he was. Peter did not know Cathrine already had plans for him, plans he might not have agreed with had he known about them.

In April, Cathrine announced she had plans for the two of them to travel together the first week in May. They would stay at a building that looked like an old castle but also had modern conveniences such as running water, air conditioning, and working internet connections. Cathrine insisted it was the best of both worlds. Peter was hesitant but agreed to go since he would not have to pay for the trip.

When Peter saw the dress Cathrine picked out, he complimented her for it. She responded by handing him a suit about the same color as her dress. Peter put on the suit impressed by how much Cathrine had prepared for the trip.

During the trip, Cathrine treated Peter like a child. He started to act younger, like he did in college or maybe high school. Catching his reflection, he thought he looked younger too though he admitted it might have just been his imagination. Whatever the reason he was grateful for his sudden rejuvenation.

As soon as they arrived at the castle, the people there told Cathrine everything was ready. Peter thought she might be planning a surprise for him which was actually true but not in the way he thought.

Over the next few days, Peter started looking and acting younger. His suit no longer fit him so Cathrine got him a new one. Peter complained it looked more like something a girl would wear but Cathrine insisted it was in style at their current location. Reluctantly, he agreed to wear it.

Gradually, Peter became aware of other changes happening in him. Besides getting younger, he was looking more and more like a little girl. Memories of being a girl in middle school flooded his mind. It did not make any sense because Peter had never been a girl in middle school.

Not knowing what else to do, he told Cathrine about these memories that never were. Cathrine rubbed her fingers through her hair and told Penny not to worry about it. Middle school was still years away and she would be ready for it when the time came.

Looking at herself, Penny saw she was completely female. She had changed yet her mind insisted she had not changed. Penny was really confused and did not know what to do. Cathrine insisted she just go to the pool and let the problems solve themselves. Penny thought she was really controlling but that was what mothers did.

On Saturday, the last day of their stay, the castle staff helped Penny make a Mother's Day card. She kept it hidden in her suitcase. When they got home, Penny gave it to her. Penny's mother was really pleased. Everything was the way she wanted it.
