Okay, having at one time been pretty invested in Karkat X Terezi (I've given that up now; I see it for the sunk ship that it is), I admit that I found every moment of Dave and Terezi's relationship fairly upsetting. This having been said, if that's your sole purpose, then doesn't it seem like maybe it's time to move on to Gamzee X Terezi as your OTP? I can't think of anything else in the comic as singly upsetting as that!

Well, we've certainly had some foreshadowing that Nepeta and Karkat will wind up together, in that we had that enigmatic conversation between her and Jaspers, with a line to the effect of "You mean I might have to die before I get to be with him?"
Hussie includes nothing that isn't a Chekhov's Gun. That one's yet to be fired.
Whether this means that Karkat is going to die or it means that there's some way out for dead people in the dreambubbles remains to be seen. I feel like having seen John physically remove that ring from the dreambubbles is some sort of foreshadowing that there is a way out.
But we shall see!
