Wow. Knuckles made an unecessarily wide swoop to come in and scope out where Ruby had fallen, I guess. Heh.Page nine, explaining no, it's not normal for Echidnas to glide around. At least, not to Ruby. Knuckles has almost definitely forgotten about the crotch kick by now. Or he's just numb.

Knuckles is such a sweetheart. Most guys wouldn't be so helpful after receiving a nasty kick to the groin.

You mentioned pondering wether Knuckles and Ruby should pursue each other. So does this mean Julie-Sue doesn't exist in your continuity? Cool that your striking out in your own direction. I like that.
Pretty nice counter balance to all the bickering... Knuckles still offering to help despite her hyper hostility towards him.
As for his memory lapse, I say it's his Crotch-O-Steel (TM).

I dunno, I seem to be getting alot of requests for that sort of thing. People have always liked characters to pair off tho. Julie-Su doesn't exist, no, along with anything else from the Archie continuity, really. It'll help me distance myself from being sued, perhaps. LOL
I write more with SatAM in mind, I guess. And to me, the Archie series had way too many characters. I couldn't possibly keep up.
We shall see where I go. I just want to kind of throw out a few ideas on my own, with the more popular characters. Again, I have nothing wrong with Archie's continuity, I just would much rather have my own and not worry about what's canon to them vs. me. This is just for fun, afterall.

Of course. And I think it's far mor admirable to do your own thing. And your right about it being more fun to develop your own characters and storyline. So far youve got the same feeling as reading an official comic, but it's definately unique in it's style and characterisations.
All my artwork I try to keep within the SatAM sense as well. But probably for different reasons >_> (My current journal jestifies to this I think.)

Ruby begins to remind me very much of Spectre's mysterious attitude and demeanour. The way she speaks she's ceertainly got her heart in the right place about her link to the Island, but unprepared for Knuckles's offer of protection.
I don't see it being Knux/Ruby - friendship, uneasy as it is, maybe. Love, no. Ruby is headstrong, definitely not the whole sappy-sentimental gal. Knuckles is clueless about women (I'm guessing from his demeanour anyway), so I don't think love's in the equation. There's something about their lineage that doesn't allow the thought of that to enter my mind.
I must get around to doing some sketches of Ruby for you. She's really intriguing me she is...

Yes. I love how you explain that it isn't normal for echidnas to glide about. I was like "SMRT"! I've been following the comic, but I haven't commented 'til just now. It is awesome thus far. I love Ruby's personality.

I love how the story is progressing, your ideas are really nice, and I love how your character Ruby has such original traits. It really sets her off from all the other echidna fan characters I've seen.
Course seeing the colours in your sky I am now a little confuzzled by the time line. It seemed like it went from evening to night and now its morning?? If that's the case, it just seemed like a little fast to me.
Other than my confusions, I really like how you visualize the island, you've put in some really nice concepts and I am curious to see more as this story progresses. Keep up the fantastic work!

There's lots of depth to the story on this page! Definately getting better! ^___^ The dark circles around Ruby's eyes are really attracting to me now. Am I sensing a Knux/Ruby moment...?

Nah, this is mine and that's it. No need to pay for it. Besides, I get to screw around with my own continuity here, and not really have to worry about 2000% of the stuff Archie artwork makes me think about
