Only problem with the SpitFire, there is a small intake in the bottom and the cockpit doesn't have the metal bars

That's not a Spitfire of any design I'm familiar with. I could do a laundry list of issues with the plane.
Spitfire however, well she's looking great... minus the tail hidden behind her leg and jacket.

I know what was intended, but that is not a spitfire. that is actually more akin to a cross between a ME-109 and a BF-110 (cockpit) with a Spitfire's fuselage.
Still an awesome picture.

I donΒ΄t sea really why this could be a 109, the shape may be a little off the original but al long canopy had been used on spitfires in the trainer versions, so it seams really legit for me at least.

This picture is one of many forms the Spitfire had, they had been built from 1938 till 1948 after all, so there where some changes in the construction.
I agree thought that this doesnΒ΄t look typical for a spitfire but the canopy is much too short and slim for a 110, it could bee a Fairey Battle canopy though, basically the whole plane match the Fairey more than the spitfire.

The Fairey is not a plane that is mentioned first when someone is thinking about WW2 planes, might be the reason.

I am not sure if I did, It is just that all Sources that I have never really point these planes out, and most show the spitfire as the plane that had been the only one that had been technical on eye contact with the BF 109 or the FW 190.
But my sources never had been specific on the planes of the battle of Britain.

Can I just ask why a Hawker Hurricane cockpit is mounted on a Supermarine Spitfire?Β I don't like to nitpick but it kinda makes the picture feel off...
