You do your manes almost like how I do mine! I use the burn/dodge tool to help bring out highlights and lowlights.
I love this tutorial...maybe there's another one in the works?

Do you use a tablet? Or, how do you make your lineart? Cause I got the same program, but there are soo few tutorials that explain how to make lineart for photoshop elements 5, and even less for non tablet users...Wonderful tutorial though!

Yeh, I do use a tablet. I usually make my lineart by hand, rather than using Lines and stuff like that, and I use a reference just to make sure the anatomy is right! But I wudn't really know much about making linearts without a tablet! I don't even have a mouse, i use my tablet for everything!

I just wanted to thank you for such a great, and easy to follow, tutorial. I am new to digital art/photoshop and I found this REALLY helpful. I just finished working on my horse's mane and tail useing your tutorial and I love how it came out. Thank you for putting this up for everyone!! Perfect tutorial!

xD I suggest instead of pasting whole screenshots, just crop it so that the important parts (namely, the canvas) can be seen. I don't think the time of day and your WMP are particularly relevant to the tutorial
