The lighting in the shot is a bit manipulative. What's shown is only the lower portion of an extremely tall but very narrow canyon at the northern end of a national park -- so I'd actually been "inside" the scene for the two-or-so-mile-hike that led to where this was taken.

Striking... It seems to be some sort of caverns for me, and I adore it greatly, 'cause I'm a novice-speleologist!

In that case: be certain to add "Zion National Park" in the United States to whatever to-visit list you've concocted over the years.

I'm glad you added this one. It looks like the beginning of a journey, like Lord of the Rings. I have it hanging in my room.

I will! Only, not any time soon, as where I shot this is currently slathered in snow and ice. Thanks.

hey great photo, even without the model it would be stunning. the black and white tones are really beautiful on the walls of the canyon. With the model included, it invoke a strong sense of the adventure traveller spirit, and a feeling to 'get out there'. nice one!

I shot a few frames of this scene without a model but wasn't really happy with the results; they seemed to lack scale. Maybe I'll revisit 'em, now. Thanks!

Zion National Park is what's amazing. I appreciate your typographic generosity, though.

Thanks ! I typically use Photoshop's "channel mixer" for an effect similar to having shot through a colored filter (don't typically carry 'em, unfortunately). I play around with it on different layers until I've a desirable result.

The burning and/or dodging mess up to the far right turns me off, other than that its a great moment captured.

You made great use of the wide angle's perspective distortion in this
The tones you've produced in it are magnificent, too

*amazed*... *seriously*
And not only the water's flowing, the walls, too! And everything looks so natural (and I bet it is, talking about the composition). The direction, the every single thing.. Damn. *amazed*

Haha, direction? That moment, verbatim: "Hey, Jimmy, grab your stick...uh, your...just hold that thing and stand there! Yeah! With MAJESTY. Thanks."
And thank you for the comment.
