First of all, I'm not saying that fat people can't cosplay as thin characters. Dumbasses always jump to that conclusion. No, you don't have to live your life based off of my opinion. Go ahead and do whatever the hell you want; you're in control of your own life, not me.So, why does it bother me? Because it looks wrong. It's not what the character actually looks like, and a bad cosplay can ruin my perspective of that character because I can't help but associate them with it from thereon out. I know, it's dumb, but that's why it bothers me.
It's like a really hairy dude cosplaying a small feminine character. It looks off.Β

I do not care about what they look like at all, the only thing that should matter is.

when you say it ruins the character and its unappealing you're both fat shaming and making fat people feel bad for cosplaying "skinny" characters (the only canonly fat character i can think of is rose quartz so you're basically saying fat people have like. a handful of characters to cosplay which is garbage logic)

There's very little "logic" to it. I'm not saying "It's wrong because x, y, z...", I'm simply stating that I personally find it very unappealing (because x, y, z). You can't really apply it to other "analogous" situations as it's a matter of personal taste.

I meant that you can't compare it to things like characteristic differentiation (skin color, height, etc) as it's only weight that I find unappealing, not so much the general concept of the cosplayer not matching the character (I mean, most cosplays are shit anyway).

I said "visually unappealing", not unappealing as a person. I'm sure I already said this, but I don't point it out to people. This stamp isn't directed toward anyone in particular.
