Here's page 3! Don't mind slight art style changes--it'll probably be a while before I settle on something I like. But feel free to give me feedback if you have any recommendations. It's crazy to see how a little goat boy turned into a slightly-psychopathic flower.

Good catch though. I'm impressed with how well some people know Undertale's story. Personally, I don't like to think too hard about how this story fits into the Undertale canon, because I never noticed any glaring differences when I was reading the fic. So uh, to answer your questions... I don't know lol

Wait, how did Flowey see his own dust? I thought the lab journals were trying to say that Alphys "woke" Flowey by injecting determination into the flowers in Asgore's garden which grew from seeds that had been stuck to Asriel's body when he died in Asgore's garden after returning from the surface.
I mean I wouldn't put it past him to lie, he didn't mention Chara in any of this after all, but it seems like he has no reason to add that.

Yeah, I'm still pretty hazy on Flowey's origins. But here's a quote from the Undertale wiki (Asriel Dreemurr #Main Story):
"Once deceased, Asriel's body turned to dust, which spread across the garden in New Home. Later, just before the queen left, Alphys injected determination into one of the garden's golden flowers-- the first one to bloom after Asriel's death. Initial experiments on the flower vessel proved unsuccessful, and Alphys returned it to Asgore. Once Alphys replanted the vessel, Flowey awoke within the garden."
I guess it is possible that Flowey's dust was still on the flowers after he was returned to the garden. Good catch, though; you're making me rethink my understanding of Undertale, and that's great!

It would just strike me as odd for the dust to still be just laying there all those years later is all, rather than having been absorbed into the ground... which would mean that the flower injected with determination would have absorbed the dust from the ground, the dust containing Asriel's "essence"... 👍: 0 ⏩: 0
Still, I made a mistake too, it was Chara who the seeds were stuck to because their body had been laid on the flowers before being brought back underground, I forgot about that part of the long walk story.
I just wondered if you were intentionally using a different take on the lab journals is all, since the rest seemed more or less in-keeping (especially Flowey's attitude, that creepy cheerfulness is bang on) but glad to have made you think about it some more at least.
When I saw Flowey's face in the last panel, I swear to god that I could almost hear the "LOL XD"

Man your expressions are FANTASTIC. I really love how you draw Papyrus's expressions--you don't warp the mouth too much, which is closer to his expressions in the game. It's really nice seeing artists do that. And I love how OFF Flowey feels, with how blunt he is about his own death... but I can still feel a bit of bitterness in his expression in that last panel.
Gosh your art is so wonderful. Keep it up!

You are very good at noticing details. I'm impressed. Each page takes 10+ hours, but in the future I hope I'll get quicker. My goal is to release a page 2x a week, although I doubt this Monday there'll be a page because of finals. Also, thanks for the kind words

I'm trying to do comics myself, so I'm trying to pay attention to details in really good comics so I can get better at them. xD;
