Maรฎtresse de SangBased on Spring Incarnate , this is the last experiment before I start the final. Turned down the lights and let the shadows come to play on this one. It's interesting to see how drastically an image can shift in feel with a few changes here and there. For more information about the image view the original, Spring Incarnate .

hey not bad, has the l'amore feel to it, the lips well rendered, the face and eyebrows, very cool touch. Ive not seen one of these in a while. The background image flows well with this piece. I also like the borders, very fine work.
Critiscism: Be careful of the shading in the neck, it dosent seem very fluent with that of the face, also i think the neck has too many lines, hence lost it's smoothness.
Also dont add too many dark shades onto the face, when i tilt my laptop at an angle, i can see all the shades, it start to look a bit spoctchy.

Thank you so much for the in-depth compliments and critique! As far as the shading goes, I'm aware of it yeah. It was intentional in this piece because I wanted to balance the realism with a more artistic choppy style. I actually toned down the contrast on this one a lot more than in the original piece, in which you can see the choppy shadows much clearer. Future pieces might have smoother shading if I decide to experiment, but I'm a fan of rougher near-painterly textures in my work.

This is my favorite of the three. I can see why everyone commented on the eyelashes of Spring Incarnate with the full veiw. They are beautiful.
