Description A somewhat better picture of my Cross Fox pelt, Tarot. It's still not as nice as I'd like but it seems to be immensely hard to capture her in a photo with as much beauty that she possesses and exudes in person. Eh, I'll just have to try again during a future photo session, I guess.

She is currently my largest fox pelt. To see her in a size comparison photo with my other foxes, please see here: [link]

Purchased at the Yankee Peddler's Festival in Medina, OH

Wow what a lovely pelt! How much did you pay for Tarot? I go to alot of pow wows and festivals that sell fur, and i have never seen a cross fox for sale at those things, its almost always coyotes, super thin red foxes or the occasional $2,000 wolf o_O there not nice ones, like missing feet and faces etc....way over priced. I have been hearing alot of good things about the Yankee Peddler's festival, maybe i should take a trip and go one year!

She was $125 and geez, $2,000 for an incomplete wolf pelt?? That is serious robbery.

Yeah it gets pretty bad when your at a commercial festival...all the fur-buying noobs just nab it up because they don't know any better. I actually went in the tent where they had it and i was like 'holy crap' the guy came up to me and said 'that is a fine pelt are you interested?' I said no thanks i know where to get a complete wolf for less than $400. He looked at me and then said oh well i can come down on the price a tiny bit, i said no thank you. When i stopped by again later (to see if it was still there) it was gone! Someone prolly bought it for $2000 bucks! CRAZY STUFF o_O

Im actually getting an Arctic cross soon! I have to say that it has been a dream of mine to own a cross fox. They are my favorite variation, and you have a lovely one!

She looks ranched to me. Did the seller tell you of her origin? Regardless, she's a real stunner.

He told me that the foxes he had were ranched except for her and that she was wild caught.

Naw, I think he was lying. Ranched crosses have that longer, finer, glossier fur about them, whereas a wild would be shorter.

Aw, well you're probably right. I was kind of thinking she was awfully glamorous for a wild caught fox. I do still love her though.
