Nice! Pretty different from other plate tutorials I've seen so far, but still pretty good!

thanks. the only difficult part is getting the plates off the orb without breaking them but when you used the flour, that should not be a problem.

i read a lot of tutorials and tried most of them, but i suck at smoothening the clay for example when using the washer tutorial. This one makes smooth plates from the beginning.

I have a super nice tip for you. A snail dish! I really don't know how it is called in English (or in french for that matter). It is a plate that goes in the oven and has round shaped cavities. You use a round cutter and cut circles in the clay the and shape them into the snail dish and you put everything in the oven. Makes perfect dishes and it is super easy!

I never did a nice plate with the washer tutorial either. They end up not so round or they stick even with powders. I don't know how she did it in her tutorial. lol

Really? it sticks? Do you bake it before removing the plate?

I'm sorry for getting in the middle of the conversation

It's alright!
Are you asking the question to me? I'm a bit confused but that's probably due to the lack of sleep, lol. If you are asking about my tips, then I do bake it before removing the plates from the snail dish, since the snail dish can go in the oven.

It's hard sometimes to find the right word to explain what I want to explain...especially when I don't know the words of what I want to describe in my own language (French)...so it's hard to find it in a dictionnary, lol. Anywya, I'm glad you understood what I was talking about. But you can also you it for eggs, it holds them into place and it's good. I did not know what that dish was for either, it was my sister who told me it was for snails. I had bought one only because of the potential it had for my miniature making.

oh yes, i know that from myself. whenever i walk into any store, i just wonder what kinds of miniatures you could make from the objects
and missing words is by no means a sign of progressing age. it happens to me a lot of times, and often i use english words then (especially for clay related things) with my mom whose english is not the best. but you have to admin that "clay" is better than "ofenhaertende modelliermasse"

Sometimes, I can't find the words in my own language and replace them with English words and I can get pretty frustrated, lol. My mom doesn't understand English either, but I bought her a book on how to learn English and intend to try teaching her in the summer.
Random hug!
